Imagine, if you dare, a ferocious, wild beast.

One with long, sharp fangs; eager to feast.

A creature so strong, so mean, and so deranged,

Not even the bravest of all could tame.

I’m sorry to tell you, these beasts are real!

But, 10,000 years ago, humans struck a deal.

“If we keep you well fed, and well pet,” We begged.

“Do you promise to become less of a threat?”

The beasts agreed and crept from the night.

Their Cheshire grins beamed in torchlight.

“Fine.” they replied, their wild manes now groomed,

“If you continue to keep us amused.”

Centuries passed and they began to change.

Their shadows shrunk to a much smaller frame.

To this day, these beasts still roam our land.

And…I have something to tell you…please don’t be mad!

This story so far has been but a distraction.

There’s a beast behind the very next page, ready for action.

But, I need your help! You’re much braver than I.
